My Approach to Therapy
You know yourself best. As your struggles make daily life more and more difficult, you might find that seeking out a therapist is the best choice. When you reach out, I will listen to your story and together we will work to help you:
clarify your needs, goals, and values and live a life driven by them
deepen connections with important people in your life
develop skills to recognize and respond to mental health challenges (like anxiety, depression, negative thinking, and negative relational patterns)
I use techniques drawn from cognitive-behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy as specific tools to guide our work together.
Specializations
I specialize in working with women who are feeling overwhelmed by work or family stresses or who want to respond better to the pain of the past.
I serve professionals, mothers, young women developing their paths, and women ready for or adjusting to retirement.
I can support you in working through a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, parenting or work stresses, and life transitions.
Many of my clients are professional women who are feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or discouraged by their many competing roles and responsibilities.
I am also passionate about serving Christians and members of the BIPOC community.
